Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $30.00 per hour

Schedule: 8-hour shift

  • Assemble and install various types of wiring, equipment, and coils for electric motors or transformers according to drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Diagnose, test, and observe electrical, electronic, and mechanical components and systems using testing and measuring instruments.
  • Perform static or dynamic balancing of armatures or rotors.
  • Perform on-site servicing and repair.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electric motors, transformers, switchgear, generators, and other electromechanical equipment.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair and to ensure compliance with codes.
  • Conduct repairs disassembling transmission unit and replacing broken or worn parts, such as seals, bearings, gears, and valves among other things.
  • Replace or recondition shafts, bearings, commutators, and other components.
  • Perform machining to recondition or modify shafts, commutators, or other parts.
  • Test and repair or replace faulty wiring or components in electrical switchgear.
  • Test repaired motors, transformers, switchgear, or other electrical apparatus to ensure proper performance.
  • Keep the work area and all tools clean and organized.

 

Qualifications

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years to less than 5 years’ experience with armoured and custom-made luxury vehicles.
  • Knowledge of machinery, hydraulic, electrical, and other systems.
  • Additional experience in an automotive OEM quality environment to ensure proper performance and compliance with standards, including but not limited to ISO9001, VPAM, STANAG, health and safety and other standards.
  • Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instructions, blueprints, etc.
