Our Process

Transforming vehicles with our advanced armor solutions.

Crafting Superior Defense Through Innovation

At INKAS® Armored Vehicle Manufacturing, our armoring process is meticulously crafted to provide the highest level of security and protection. We begin with a thorough assessment of each vehicle’s structural integrity and identifying key areas that require reinforcement.

We have an internationally acclaimed operation that uses advanced techniques in the armoring process. Our inspection division is a team of devoted and detail-oriented professionals that oversee the vehicles completion. Our commitment to quality is shown through this division as they ensure cleanliness, integrity, and performance in every single design.

Stage I

Vehicle Arrival

Our teams ensure complete logistical support when it comes to scheduling, pickup, and secured arrival of vehicles at our facility. We have a rigorous off-loading process which includes carefully directing the vehicle into our facility and positioning it for the first inspection. You can be rest assured that with INKAS® luxury treatment is always a part of the process.

Stage II

Engineering/R&D Confirmation

Stage II.A

All INKAS® armoring designs are developed in-house by meticulously analyzing the base vehicle, desired level of armoring, and any additional components or add-ons to be installed.

Stage II.B

Our engineering team confirms the armoring schematic for a given vehicle and approves the level of armoring to be installed.

Stage III

Incoming Inspection

The entire vehicle is inspected for defects and other irregularities that could hinder a seamless armoring build.

The chassis along with other major parts are examined to understand and gain confidence in the vehicle’s capabilities. Our professionals are equipped with top-of-the-line technology used to inspect and decipher the intricacy.

Stage III.A

Disassembly

After an exhaustive inspection, the vehicle undergoes a complete disassembly.

It goes through an attentive removal phase consisting of stripping the vehicle to its bare frame. This step prepares the vehicle for a complete armoring build.

Stage III.B

Frame Inspection

As a part of our comprehensive armoring process, after the disassembly our engineers conduct a pre-armoring inspection.

This walk through checks the frame to once again ensure the vehicle will be discreetly armored with ultimate integrity. It is very important that at this stage the frame is approved for the substantial armor that will be fused on.

Armoring Stage

Utilizing cutting-edge technology and high-quality ballistic materials, we reinforce the vehicle’s frame and body panels to withstand various levels of ammunition and blast threats. Our skilled engineers implement advanced welding techniques to ensure a seamless integration of armor without compromising the vehicle’s original aesthetics.

Ballistic Steel

Large steel panels are welded onto the vehicles bare frame for ultra strong support and bullet resistant abilities. This ballistic steel is assembled to the cabin, roof, and floor of the vehicle giving it 360° perimeter protection. The surrounded steel barrier ensures all passengers are safe from any angle as the safety features work together to create a ballistic capsule.

Ballistic Glass

Ballistic glass is added to the vehicle creating bullet resistance to protect passengers from unwarranted ammunition attacks. This ballistic glass is installed to all the windows including the windshield and rear window for surrounded protection. INKAS® uses the highest military grade ballistic glass which has minimal optical distortion created by our own R&D department resulting in remarkable security.

Stage V

Post-armoring Inspection

A full inspection is conducted after the armoring process is complete.

While the vehicle is still exposed with the steel ballistic plating, our engineers ensure the armor is secure and guarantees the vehicle operates seamlessly despite the additional weight and modifications. The post-armoring inspection is a critical part in the vehicles readiness as it provides the optimal protection and reliability that clients expect from INKAS®.

Stage V.A

Reassembly

This stage includes meticulously reconstructing the vehicle to ensure both structural integrity and aesthetic finish. During this phase, skilled technicians carefully reassemble the vehicle’s interior and exterior components.

Special attention is given to establishing a discreet design despite the added armor. This is imperative to maintaining the vehicles subtle original features.

Stage V.B

Vehicle Enhancements

We offer a wide range of add-on features that allow clients to enhance both the functionality and aesthetics of the vehicle. From sirens/PA systems, blackout packages, and night vision cameras to a roof escape hatch, exhaust pipe protection, and heavy-duty wheels we have all the safety features to enhance your armored vehicle.

Each feature is carefully integrated to maintain the vehicle’s high-performance standards and ultimate security.

Final Quality Control Inspection

Road Test

A public road test is done to ensure each armored vehicle performs optimally under real-world driving conditions. Our expert team tests for stability, responsiveness, and comfort to ensure that the vehicle adheres to our high safety and performance standards.

Water Test

This test verifies the durability and integrity of the armored vehicle by drenching it with water to check for potential leaks. This test ensures that all entry points, including doors, windows, and any customized openings remain fully sealed, offering protection in unpredictable weather conditions.

Tech Test

The tech test is designed to ensure that all technological systems within the armored vehicle function correctly. This includes thorough testing of electrical systems, security features, communication equipment, and any custom electronics.
