What Level of Ballistic Protection Does INKAS® Bulletproof Glass Provide?
The armoring process includes integrating ballistic features into the vehicle in a discreet fashion. Ballistic glass is a main security feature that we add to the vehicle, which prevents ammunition from entering the vehicle through the windows. All armored vehicles are equipped with bulletproof glass, although depending on the requested security level, the thickness and level of protection may change.
The protection levels are defined by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) under the EN 1063 standard, which classifies ballistic resistance from BR4 to BR7. For instance, many of our armored vehicles are armored to the CEN BR6 level, protecting against assault rifle ammunition and grenade blasts.
The specific level of ballistic protection provided by our bulletproof glass depends on the vehicle’s intended use and the client’s security needs, ensuring optimal safety without compromising performance or aesthetics.
