How Does INKAS® Test the Durability of Its Armored Vehicles?
Strict testing protocols are used to ensure the durability, safety, and reliability of our armored vehicles under the most demanding conditions. All ballistic materials, including the steel plating and ballistic windows, are tested separately to ensure they are up to code and perform their duties. This comprehensive process includes in-house testing, real-world simulations, and adherence to internationally recognized certification standards.
1. Third Party Testing:
All our ballistic materials are tested and certified by third-party facilities that specialize in armored materials. These controlled tests verify the resistance of armored materials to bullets, shrapnel, and blasts while assessing structural integrity.
2. Real-World Simulations:
Vehicles can undergo extensive testing under real-world conditions to evaluate their performance in terms of handling, braking, and overall functionality. This process ensures that the additional weight and modifications from armoring do not compromise the vehicle’s original design, reliability, or drivability.
3. International Certification Standards:
Certifications are provided to meet globally recognized protection levels, including:
All materials used are certified through independent, third-party ballistic laboratories to meet internationally recognized standards. Depending on the application, this includes CEN 1063 levels B4 to B7, NIJ 0101.06 levels II, III, and IV, as well as full vehicle certifications such as VPAM BRV VR7 for ballistic protection and blast resistance.
By combining advanced manufacturing techniques, in-house expertise, and strict compliance with international standards, we at INKAS® ensure that both individual components and complete vehicles meet the highest levels of safety, performance, and long-term durability.
