INKAS® Introduces a new Hudson APC
October 20, 2016
INKAS® Armored Vehicle Manufacturing has announced a new Hudson Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) to join its already-extensive fleet of special-purpose vehicles. This new vehicle – named the Hudson – has been specifically designed for SWAT, law enforcement and border patrol agencies, offering a reliable as well as compact solution for secure personnel transportation. Based on a Toyota Land Cruiser 79 platform, the vehicle ensures a high level of maneuverability while securely and comfortably transporting up to eight passengers.
Designed to serve in extreme climate conditions, the Hudson APC has an auxiliary air conditioning system as well as exhaust fan for quick ventilation and air re-circulation, which improves the passengers’ environment. Supported by a 4.5L Diesel V8 and five-speed manual transmission, the new Hudson APC is characterized by a high level of off-road performance and maneuverability, even in crowd-control situations where clearance and mobility is limited. In order to meet transportation regulations of various countries, the Hudson APC is offered in both left-hand-drive as well as right-hand-drive configurations.
“This highly-maneuverable and configurable armored personnel carrier can be easily custom-fitted with various technologies and systems making it a great choice for law enforcement agencies,” said David Khazanski, CEO, INKAS® Armored Vehicle Manufacturing. “We are proud to provide the highest standards of quality, design and workmanship in the industry”.
This INKAS® Hudson APC is fully armored in accordance with CEN 1063 Level BR6. In order to ensure the maximal survivability and ongoing dependable service, the vehicle’s perimeter, engine bay and key mechanical components are protected with composite light-weight armor materials that weigh half of what industry-standard armor plates of the same size weigh. Light-weight armor allows the Hudson APC to demonstrate impeccable mobility and speed performance compared to equal-sized vehicles on the market – all while maintaining top ballistic protection levels.
To better perform in volatile situations, the Hudson APC is equipped with a siren/PA system, removable wire mesh glass protection modules and external view cameras that provide comprehensive situational analysis regardless of environment. The wide field-of-view from within the driver cabin as well as electronic night vision system make the Hudson APC an ideal choice for larger fleets in remote areas. The vehicle is equipped with all around perimeter gun ports and two escape hatches.
